Kwadwo Adae, Director
Kwadwo Adae holds a Master of Arts degree in Painting from New York University. He has been actively drawing and painting for the past twenty-three years.
After achieving skill as a Realist, Kwadwo progressed to painting stylized, abstracted figurative works in the late 1990's. During graduate school, his paintings evolved into the non-objective series he continues currently. The series known as Kwadrilaterals explores the intersection of visual art and mathematical theory and features surface textures which are sculptural in nature.
Mobile Art Studio (MAS)
In addition to the classes offered at our downtown Academy location, we
offer a Mobile Art Studio Service to off-site locations, such as assisted living centers, retirement communities, teen centers and private homes. Programs are
tailored to the needs and interests of the institution or individual,
so contact us if you wish to learn more, arrange an in-person
consultation or receive a proposal specifically designed for your
facility.
New Haven Free Public Library Art Exhibition
It is important not only for artists to create artwork, but artists must exhibit their work for the public to see. In the late summer all Adae Fine Art Academy students are encouraged to show their artwork in our annual group exhibition at Azoth Gallery located in New Haven Free Public Library at 133 Elm Street in Downtown, New Haven.
Westville Artwalk
Join us for the 12th Annual Westville Artwalk on Saturday, May 9th in Edgewood Park near West Rock Avenue. For the third year in a row, the Adae Fine Art Academy will be providing free art lessons outdoors in the sweet sunshine for any child who wishes to draw or paint anything.
